A mala is simply a string of beads that are used in meditation practice. It is a tool to help you count mantras and acts as a tactile guide as you sit in silence. Sticking to tradition, this mala has 108 beads strung together and one “guru bead,” which is larger than the rest. The guru bead is used as a place marker for the fingers to feel for the end or the beginning of the necklace.
This Mala is made of 108 8mm Amazonite beads and measures 23 inches in length. The guru bead is also Amazonite.
Called the Stone of Courage and the Stone of Truth, Amazonite empowers one to search the self and discover one's own truths and integrity. It provides harmony and balance.
