Be the light-the Prosperity candle story.

In 2009 Prosperity candle was born as a social enterprise that supports refugees and artisans through candle-making and beautifully crafted vessels that are meant to be repurposed. The handmade candles are created by a woman artisan building a brighter future for herself and her family using all-natural soy & coconut waxes, pure cotton, and wood wicks, and premium fragrances made with essential oils. They never add any dyes or enhancers. As a social enterprise, Prosperity Candle supports fair trade principles and is B-Corp certified for community and environmental sustainability. For 2 years in a row, they have been recognized by B-Lab as a Best for the World small enterprise. The company celebrates creativity and quality, supports fair trade and ethically made goods, and argues that every product - if made the right way - can help make the world a better place.

With every candle, you will receive a story card that tells about the women artisan who made it. Because "there's a story behind every candle".

This is the story about how they were inspired to create the Wet Dog candle. Riley, their rescue dog from Louisiana, ensures they get outside for a mid-day walk, rain or shine. One day Riley got soaked in a big downpour - yet still smelled surprisingly good... because she spends all day in the studio around wonderful fragrances! So they designed the Wet Dog Candle as a fun gift for canine lovers and a great way to keep your home smelling lovely - even after a downpour. That's Riley on the label.
